Rural Medical Outreach Initiative: We are excited to announce a strategic partnership and collaboration between Love Without Boundaries and Khusi Hona. The Khusi Hona team is preparing to leave for our second strategic visit to the area.
The project scope is to implement a nutrition and healthcare awareness program that provides both an educational and surgical component in the greater Bundelkhand Region in Central India. The Bundelkhand region consists of 8 out of the 108 poorest districts in India and is largely inhabited by tribal groups and Dalits. The rampant poverty has resulted in the powerlessness and suffering of countless men, women, and children. Through this new project, Khusi Hona’s medical outreach team will begin weekly visits to four adopted villages to give people access to medical supplies and information. In addition, the team will conduct preventive and primary health care programs, dispense basic medications, and establish relationships within the local communities. Learn More Here

Khusi Hona Lotus Center: Work continues in our ever-growing women empowerment center. The Khusi Hona Lotus Center is a space for disenfranchised and unemployable women to come and learn news skills through training, employment, and business development. Experienced mentors at the center work with women to develop skills in a non-formal educational setting. Our goal here is to foster independence without creating dependency. In a sense, the Center is a launch pad–we want the Center to be a safe place where the women can realize their own visions and goals through the creation of micro-businesses, more formalized education, and/or other future endeavors of their choosing. NEPAL UPDATE
Khusi Hona Nepal: We are proud to announce that we have started the legal process of setting up Khusi Hona Nepal. Much like our trust in India, this will give us the ability to better serve the people of Nepal without the need to operate through a third party NGO. Both the Nepali and Indian organizations operate under the mission, guidance, and principles of our US based 501C3 charitable organization. This expansion of Khusi Hona will see the hiring of local staff and further empower the people of Nepal. We are also looking to set up an 8 member board comprised completely of local women, further supporting our vision of empowering women in the community.

Mamaghar: Whatever road in life we lead, it’s always a little easier in a new pair of shoes. Located in Hetauda, Nepal, Mamaghar (Uncle’s House) cares for 21 boys that have been rescued from a life on the streets. In March we raised enough funds to provide each child with a new pair of school shoes. A BIG thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!

Economic Development through Poultry Farming: We have secured a small piece of land on a minimum 5 year lease in Makwanpur, Nepal. The project scope is to start a small poultry farm designed in a scalable fashion. This project will benefit a local primary school as well as one farmer and his family in the community suffering from poverty and heavily impacted by the 2015 Earthquake. We will provide the farmer with everything needed to start a poultry farm and in-turn, he will provide the daily work to maintain the farm. The profits from the operation will then be split 50/50 with the farmer and the school.
