We are excited to announce a strategic partnership and collaboration between Love Without Boundaries (LWB) and Khusi Hona. Love Without Boundaries’ goal is to give the most loving and compassionate care possible to orphaned and impoverished children. LWB has many comprehensive programs, providing medical care, foster care, education, and nutrition.
The project scope is to implement a nutrition and healthcare awareness program that will provide both an educational and surgical component in the greater Bundelkhand Region in Central India. The Bundelkhand region consists of 8 out of the 108 poorest districts in India and is largely inhabited by tribal groups and Dalits. The rampant poverty has resulted in the powerlessness and suffering of countless men, women, and children.
We will focus on four area villages: Nai Duniya, Lokhariha, Paldev, and Bargarh. Many of these remote areas of India have little or no access to medical facilities or to the basic, yet critical, information about what it takes to maintain adequate health and cleanliness.
Through this new project, Khusi Hona’s medical outreach team will travel to the aforementioned villages on a weekly basis to give people access to medical supplies and information. In addition, the team will conduct preventive and primary health care programs, dispense basic medications, and establish relationships within the local communities.
We are currently recruiting and building our full time team which will consist of a project manager, a project assistant and a medical nurse. We are purchasing a vehicle and organizing all the needed equipment and training materials.
The team’s consistent presence will also provide us with insight to the more pressing and critical medical conditions afflicting the community’s most vulnerable members. Until now, the option for treatment and/or surgery was neither available nor feasible but with the support and guidance of LWB, any child with a medical need will be properly diagnosed and subsequently treated and cared for.
Because we believe that breaking the cycle of poverty starts with tangible, life-changing opportunities, we will also be introducing several other Khusi Hona initiatives. These women empowerment programs, small-scale economic development projects, and other training workshops will not only meet the immediate and long-term needs of individuals, but the community as a whole.
We are incredibly excited for this expansion of our operations and ask you to consider partnering with us this week to support this very important project.
